The Queen Academy REGAL Summer Camp Program

The Queen Academy REGAL Summer Camp is a 4-week summer camp program, exclusively for middle and high school girls currently in foster care through Georgia’s Department of Family and Children’s Services (DFCS). The camp includes a variety of activities to support young women in their academic, spiritual, and social emotional development, including STEAM education, Bible studies, financial literacy sessions, life skills activities, arts & crafts, sports recreation, and career exploration & entrepreneurship. Additionally, participants engage in project-based learning over the course of the camp, identifying a real-world issue or problem in their community or within the foster care system, and working collaboratively to design a project to address the issue. At the end of the camp, participants present their projects to key stakeholders and leaders within the community. The camp currently serves 15 participants, with the goal of doubling the number of young women served each summer.
